We are looking for someone for the upcoming summer season of 2026:
π Head Chef at the Auberge de Salanfe β Summer 2026 π

Duration: Early June to early October
π Location: Auberge de Salanfe, accessible only on foot (1.5-hour walk) β Accommodation provided
π¨βπ³ Your mission:
Prepare Γ la carte lunch dishes and the dinner menu for our guests.
Create delicious and varied dishes for the team.
Work closely with our chef, Manu, who has been with the Auberge for 26 years.
Participate in the daily setup, cleaning, and organization of the kitchen.
Ensure the quality, consistency, and presentation of the dishes served.
Manage inventory and orders, taking into account the constraints of mountain supply.
Wash dishes and maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen.
π Versatility:
Occasionally participate in other tasks related to the daily operations of the inn (cleaning assistance, handling, waste management, etc.), as needed by the team.
π€ Desired Profile:
Proven experience in traditional and/or mountain cuisine.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
Creativity, attention to detail, and a keen sense of taste.
A desire to innovate and a proactive approach.
Excellent physical condition and an affinity for life at altitude.
A positive attitude, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit are essential.

Provide lunch and dinner service for both day guests and residents.
Greet guests with a smile and ensure a friendly and seamless experience.
Participate in setting up the dining room and cleaning up after service.
π Maintenance:
Clean the premises, rooms, and dormitories every morning.
Maintain the cleanliness of common areas (dining room, restrooms, hallways).
Assist with handling and managing linens or waste as needed.
π€ Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry preferred.
Dynamic, friendly, and organized individual with a keen eye for detail.
Good physical condition (accessible on foot and able to work at a fast pace).
Team spirit, flexibility, and autonomy.
